Banks & Shopping
Chemists - The shops with a green cross outside in Spain are called "Farmacias" Most close at the weekends but there is always one on duty in each town. See the rota in the chemists' doorways. Son Parc has a medical centre
open during the tourist season.
Shops - Opening times usually 09.00 - 13.30 and 16.30/17.00 - 20.30.
Large supermarkets - open Mon. - Sat. 09.00 - 21.00, and some on Sunday mornings, some small shops open until 10.00.
Banks - open Monday to Saturday, 09.00 14.00
ATMs - there are now ATM's in almost all the resorts around the island. Many banks have special exchange facilities in the holiday resorts. Euro cheques and credit cards are accepted in many establishments throughout the Island. Many restaurants will also exchange travellers
cheques.

suit all budgets offering a wide variety of cuisines from the traditional

Golf
The Son Parc golf course is located within walking distance of the villa.
The course offers 18 holes. There is a driving range, club house and shop and the following may be hired, clubs, buggies, electric and pull trolleys. The club also offers golf lessons.

There are tennis courts located within walking distance of the villa which may be booked via the Golf Club.
Horse Riding
For the experienced or first timers of all ages can be found amongst other places at Club Hipic Es Beoret S'Algar. Equimar half way between Es Castell and Mahon on the turn off to Trepuco. Piadero Binixica Just outside San Clement on the way to Cala n Porter.
Mount Toro is well worth visiting as it is the highest point on the island at approximately 1,000 ft. As well as being the highest point it is also the spiritual centre with the sanctuary built in the late 16th century and tended by a community of Franciscan nuns. The views over almost all of the island are quite spectacular.
Ciutadella is the former capital of Menorca . The old Arab Mediterranean citadel walled in by the harbour defences and winding, narrow streets of stone between noble palaces. The beautiful ancient harbour with good bars and restaurants.

Water Parks
Aqua Park in Cala Forcat - a small water park ideal for younger children with a restaurant and a bouncy castle play area. The park can be found on the main road going into Cala Forcat - near to Hotel Los
Delphines.
Aqua Rock Cala Bosc – is a larger water park than Calan Forcat. This park includes four big slides, including the Black hole and the Kamikaze, one large pool with both walk-in and jump in areas, one small pool with smaller slides for the young ones and a pool with a wave machine.

Fiestas
Menorca has many Fiestas, one of the most famous being that of
Ciudadella fiesta of Saint Joan on 23rd and 24th of June. The
horses bred in Menorca are the stars of the fiestas and are made to dance to the airs of Menorcan "jota" tunes, the most famous being the "Saint Joan" jota.
